Junior Marketing Executive
List of Life Ltd are looking for a new member of their team. This role would suit someone relatively new to marketing / PR.
List of Life is an entertainments and events company, we organise stag and hen nights, dance classes, corporate events and professional training. Our brands include Polestars (www.polestars.net), List of Life (www.listoflife.com) and List of Life Training (www.listoflifetraining.com). This role is focused heavily on Polestars, but you will be expected to work on the other brands.
We are looking for a Marketing Executive to replace our current encumbent, we currently have 5 full time staff in the office.
The job involves managing our press campaigns, website, publicity materials, PPC advertising, and any other outbound marketing. We have a marketing intern program running which provides you with assistance, but also requires you to provide guidance and support to any interns.
The office environment is well motivated, but relatively fun and relaxed. This will suit someone who is looking to get into Marketing or PR, and ideally has some relevant experience or training. This is a full time role, our office hours are 9-5pm or 10am-6pm. Occasionally you may be required to work evenings or weekends but this is rare.
Salary 15K – 18K p.a. (dependent on experience) 35 Hrs per week, 20 Days holiday

Writing and sending out press releases
Following up press releases with phone calls
Answering incoming press enquiries
Building and maintaining press databases.
Developing and maintaining good working relations with the media, including local and national newspapers, magazines, radio and television.
Organizing PR / marketing events where necessary.
Marketing
Writing and managing outbound email newsletters
Managing the content of our websites.
Managing the optimisation of our websites.
Representing and promoting Polestars in online forums, communities and websites.
Supporting and working with marketing interns.
Managing the distribution of publicity materials.
Developing and distributing video content online.
Managing the listing of our events online.
Managing our PPC advertising campaign.
Assisting with marketing events.
Polestars Administration
Answering phone to customers and taking bookings
Chasing customer payments
Managing incoming & outgoing mail
Assisting with administration and organisation relating to courses and teachers
General Office Duties
Answering the phone
Assisting with office tidiness
Attending company meetings
Any other duties as required.
Person Specification
Necessary Skills
• Excellent creative copywriting skills
• Confident and outgoing
• Unafraid of cold calling journalists
• Good networking skills
• Excellent organisational and administration skills
• Working knowledge of Word, Excell, Powerpoint and I.E
• Excellent time management skills
• Understanding of Polestars brand, and ability to communicate it effectively
• Ability to sell a concept effectively on the telephone
• Numerate and able to deal with tables, percentages and analyse data
• Experience of forums, blogs and networking sites
Desirable Skills
• Experience and/or training in marketing / PR
• Sales experience
• Basic experience / knowledge of HTML
• Sub-editing experience / knowledge
