Flashing Has Never Been So Fun

POLESTARS CAN CAN. POLESTARS is the world’s biggest and best alternative fitness school and have taught over 50,000 women, from all walks of life, the joys of pole dancing and the art of burlesque. Since launching in 2002, we have helped women to gain confidence in themselves and how they see their bodies.

While pole dancing and burlesque provide great toning for your body and are great for building strength, Can-Can is a cheeky, knicker flashing energetic romp that gets your heart racing while working on your legs, bums and tums. It is a great exercise to kickstart your fitness regime and for those of you that are bored of traditional aerobics, Can-Can provides the same level of calorie burning in an exciting and fun atmosphere.

Can Can has become a popular form of entertainment since its origins in the French working class ballrooms of the 1820s. With all the high kicks that showed off bare legs, frilly knickers and/or stockings, Can Can became a risqué dance form. For the 19th century Parisian male dominated audience, it was both tantalising and teasing. The chaotic energy and vivid costumes in Can Can have been captured for a number of stage productions and films, most notably, in Baz Luhrmann’s Moulin Rouge in 2001 which depicted the essence of Can Can in all its glory.

So ditch the gym, discover or rediscover your love of exercise with POLESTARS Can Can. As well as making a great fitness regime, Can Can is a fantastic group activity which will have you riotously running around in fits of giggles before finally collapsing at the end of the two hour session from pure exhaustion!

POLESTARS is offering you the opportunity to attend one of our two hour TASTER sessions. This will involve a thorough warm up (so your muscles don’t ache too much the next day!), some basic moves and dance steps before this is put together in a fabulous routine to music. POLESTARS will provide you with our marvellous colourful skirts to really get you into the mood. The taster will start with your teacher performing the routine in full and then she will break it down into the different moves and steps. You will get the chance to practice each move, without music first, and then with the music, and build these up for the final performance.

Now remember, it is old fashioned sauciness and tantalisation – it is about flashing, not flaunting – and finally ladies, don’t forget your big frilly knickers! Visit www.polestars.net for more information.
