How long have you been dancing: 25 years
What do you love most about dancing: The freedom; there is something that feels amazing when you are creating shapes and stories with your body. Plus, it fits everyone, there is a type of dancing to suit any person.
Why did you started teaching dance: I grew up dancing, teaching was the natural progression.
Why you love teaching at Polestars: The variety, both of dance styles and the people you meet and teach.
Fave song to pole dance to: Poison by Alice Cooper, an oldie but a goodie.
Fave song to burlesque dance to: Wow! This changes all of the time. Let Me Entertain You from Gypsy, Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend, and Leanne and I are working on a routine to You Can Leave Your Hat On.
Best dancing experience: It is hard to choose one moment out of 25 years of dancing. But I can think of a few highlights. My first solo at dance school; dancing with a massive chorus line in ”Annie” and ”Oklahoma”; Podium Dancing with Sundissential at ”Room at the Top” in Bathgate and, ha ha, learning to twirl my nipple tassels with 20 other girls at the Polestars AGM, classic.
Best teaching moment: I used to teach the beginers ballet class for Sheffield University Dance Society.The best moment I have had as a teacher was watching my beginers ballet class perform at the Chance to Dance Festival in Sheffield City Centre. They were complete beginners when I started teaching them, and they were very nervous, but they were AWESOME, and I was so proud.
Best teaching moment: Definately seeing my girl Leanne teaching her first class. I trained her right from her beginners pole course. Watching her develop as a dancer and teacher has been really rewarding. She has become a really great friend and a fabulous dancer.
Most embarrassing teaching moment: My most embarrassing teaching and burlesque moment are one in the same. I was teaching a hen party in Manchester and there was a little stair case. As I was walking down I fell off of my platform shoes and tumbled down the stairs. I was left hanging by one arm from the bannister. I was definately more ”Court Jester” than ”Burlesque Beauty” that day. Hey...guys...maybe I could write a Court Jester Party.
Fave food: Lasagne. Delicious. I make an awesome lasagne, and a dancer needs her carbs to keep the muscles strong.
Fave films: OBVIOUSLY Dirty Dancing and Cabaret. But you MUST, MUST, MUST watch GYPSY! You simply cannot Burlesque until you have seen Miss Gypsy Rose Lee do her thing. Other favourite films are; The Holiday, 27 Dresses and Meet Joe Black, Blades of Glory, Napolean Dynamite.
Celebrity crush: Jack Black. I heart him.
Hobbies other than dancing: Nothing is more relaxing than reading, whether it’s the classics or Glamour magazine. I also LOVE cinema and theatre.
Personal motto: I believe in the fairytale.

Different day job: I work for Nationwide Building Society in Sheffield, my current role is as a trainer, training new delegates, so it's something about training I really enjoy and it comes naturally to me.
How long have you been dancing: Since I was a little girl, on and off! However I’ve been working for Polestars for 5 years.
What do you love most about dancing: I love dancing because it makes me be me, if that makes sense? I love expressing myself. Burlesque is like wearing fancy lingerie under your business clothes: it's a fabulous little secret just for you. What other workout lets you sport feathered fans, corsets, or tassels (for the really brave) while you strengthen your core muscles? It’s AMAZING!

Best dancing experience: Doing a sole Burlesque performance to an audience of 70. The feeling of performing onstage is like nothing else, I can’t even describe it!
Best teaching moment: At the end of the every class, when everyone comments how much fun they've had! It’s very satisfying knowing you make people happy.
Most embarrassing burlesque/teaching moment: Not realising one of my nipple tassels fell off. Oh well... we’ve all seen them before. (Boobies)
Most embarrassing incident while pole dancing: None, thank god
Fave food: Seriously everything apart from MARMITE! Yuck!
Fave film: Dirty Dancing, Stardust, Moulin Rouge, Chicago and pretty much any Action film.

How long have you been dancing: I’ve been dancing on and off since the age of 3, but been pole dancing for 1 and half years.
What do you love most about dancing: I can let go of myself when I dance and love the way dancing express emotions.
Why did you started teaching dance: I love to share my passion and joy with my students and also keep all of us fit and feel sexy.
Why you love teaching at Polestars: I leant my pole dancing with polestars and felt in love with it as well as how my teacher run the classes. Teaching those classes at Polestars is a great laugh.

Best dancing experience: This has to be the moment when I was performing in front of millions during the Commonwealth Game 2002 opening ceremony in Manchester.
Best teaching moment: At the end of my first hen party, I felt amazing when my students put the routine together and performed it at the end of the class.
Most embarrassing teaching moment: This was when I kicked off my shoe while demonstrating ‘Reach for the Stars’ in a pole dancing class. It hits the ceiling hard and bounced off. Everybody was laughing so hard and I’m just glad that it didn’t injure anyone.
