pole dancing, burlesque and can-can in Reading

Irem

Irem is 32 and teaches pole dancing lessons, burlesque classes and can-can hen parties in Reading.
Why you love teaching with Polestars: I’ve been teaching pole dancing lessons for 5 years now. I started off teaching on my own and found it quite lonely and tough to keep up as a second job with all the administration. I love working with Polestars, the people here are great to work with and very supportive. We get together on a regular basis to train and exchange ideas, and more importantly I can now just concentrate on the one thing I love doing - teaching dance!  The best thing for me about teaching is being able to pass on the skills I’ve learnt to others and watch them progress in a happy, fun and safe environment.
Different day job:  IT Consultant
Fave song to pole dance to: Currently Two Hearts by Kylie but this changes daily, and depends on my mood and who I’m dancing for! ;-) But generally anything Pop/Dance or RnB is good.
Fave food: Chocolate!
Fave film: Love Actually
Most embarrassing incident while pole dancing: Hmm…all I will say is do not try an invert (upside down manoeuvre) with a loose top on unless it is part of your routine!!

Alison aka Lexi Von Hula

How long have you been dancing: Since I was 2 1/2
What do you love most about dancing: Expressing myself through the movement and music.
Why did you started teaching dance: I always wanted to have a dance school from being a little girl and after being a dancer for a few years I decided that I wanted to go for teaching.  I love creating routines and helping people learn them.
Why you love teaching at Polestars: I love the team and being part of it.  I have made lots of friends and learnt new styles.
Fave song to burlesque dance to: Gimic from Gypsy
Best dancing experience: Actually it was when I was competing and I had choreographed my own routine and I won, it was Freestyle Disco and so much of a buzz!
Most embarrassing burlesque moment: tight corset and big boobs, need I say more?
