What to Wear
As it's your party - what you wear is really up to you. Your teacher will be able to deliver a fantastic hen party even if you just show up in what you're wearing later! But we have some suggestions for those who want a little more guidance.
Burlesque Party
The general rule with a burlesque hen party is the more you get dressed up, the better! Your teacher will provide the essential props, but feel free to get dressed up in a burlesque costume with feather boas, long gloves, fishnets or whatever suits your mood! We would recommend leggings/tights, shorts or skirts. Nothing restrictive as this will hinder your dancing.
Pole Dancing Party
To get the most out of your pole dancing hen party, we recommend a vest/cami/t-shirt on top and a pair of shorts on the bottom. High heels will be your most important accessory, as they will help you achieve that sexy strut! But don't panic if shorts don't seem like your thing - your teacher will deliver a fantastic party even if you are in jeans. However don't expect to learn as much as you need bare skin to grip the pole.
Can-Can Party
The most important item to bring to a can-can hen party is flat shoes. During your can-can lesson you will be doing a fair bit of moving around and flat shoes are much safer! We provide the can can skirts, but we would also recommend wearing hot pants, frilly knickers or tights, as you will be flashing your pants!
Grease Party
Students can wear anything that they want to at a Grease party, but we do suggest that they dress up to get themselves in the mood for the party. So think Pink Lady jackets and 50’s dresses to give you that retro look. Footwear we suggest that students wear shoes that they can dance well in.
Dirty Dancing Party
Again much like all the other hen parties, we do suggest that you dress up in dresses like they wear in the film, so any full dresses that will really twirl and float when you learn your moves. However though, we don't suggest high heels, as you want to be steady on your feet especially with those tricky dance steps.
Chicago Party
Polestars recommend that students really dress up for the Chicago party as it’ll get them in the mood for a real party. Think lots of black, flapper dresses, fishnets and high heels. Polestars will be providing you with bowler hats and canes for the party.
Cheerleading Party
For a cheerleading hen party, you will need to be wear flat shoes or trainers are there is some running around. To get in the spirit of the party, we recommend that you dress up, so think pleated skirts and leg warmers. We will provide you with our hot pink or purple pom-poms during your party.
Hooping Party
For the Hula Hooping hen party, you should come dressed in comfortable clothing that they can move around in and flat shoes. Clothing should not be too loose.
Bollywood Party
You can wear anything that you want to the Bollywood hen night or whatever you are going out in later. If you really want to get in the mood for the party, then think lots and lots of Indian bangles that jiggle! Polestars will be providing students with Indian scarves for the lesson.
Belly Dancing Party
Polestars will provide you will some fantastic hip belts to make sure that you really get in the mood of the party. We do suggest that you come in loose clothing that you can dance to and flat soft shoes. Crop tops and long flowing skirts are a great option for a belly dancing hen party.
Parkour Workshop
Loose comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting sweaty in and dirty in! Sports clothing / gear and light sports trainers such as running shoes is ideal. If you want to bring a bag, try to make a small backpack that you can carry easily while running. You may want to bring a bottle of water too.
